7 Day Lemosho Route Kilimanjaro Climbing is preferred over the six day option because it breaks up day two into two days, providing better acclimatization and a more gradual ascent.

The Lemosho route is one of the newer routes on Mount Kilimanjaro. The route begins in the west and rather than simply intersecting Shira Plateau (like Machame), Lemosho crosses it from Shira Ridge to Shira Camp.

Known as the Whiskey route, the Machame route is now the most popular route on the mountain. Compared with Marangu, the days on Machame are longer and the walks are steeper.

Shira is one of two routes which approach Kilimanjaro from the west; crossing the stunning Shira Plateau before joining with the Machame route and the beautiful scenery of the southern circuit (the descent also follows the Mweka route to the southeast).

8 Days Northern circuit Route Kilimanjaro Climb, The Northern circuit route joins the Machame route at Shira 2 Camp and then follows the same route through the southern circuit and descending at Mweka Gate.
